​Rod is the co-star of the E! Network reality TV series "Meet the Frasers!" Rod is a 20+ year US Navy veteran who grew up in Maine enjoying the great outdoors. Still an avid outdoorsman and fly fisherman, Rod is a contributing writer for a number of outdoor sports magazines. Rod is passionate about American history and is a member of a number of hereditary societies such as the Society of Mayflower Descendents, the Society of the Cincinnati, the Society of Colonial Wars, the Sons of the American Revolution and the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. He is a graduate of Maine Maritime Academy, the University of Rhode Island and the U.S. Naval War College. Rod spent 20 years in the Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer and was the Commanding Officer of USS UNDERWOOD (FFG 36) during Operation Iraqi Freedom. After retiring from the Navy, Rod was appointed as the 37th Commissioner of the Boston Fire Department and led the Department through Hurricane Irene, Hurricane Sandy, Winter Storm Nemo, and the Boston Marathon Terrorist Bombing.
