Rod Sanford originally from East St. Louis, Illinois, has a degree in Journalism from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and has received several awards for his news and editorial writing. Like many writers, he found his love for the written word early in life. However he labels himself as a storyteller. “Telling a good story will turn good writing into great writing, and all the mechanics in the world won’t fix an incomplete tale.” Dying Hard on Gold Mountain is the second in the Paladin Security/Lemon Boy mystery series. He is also the creator of the Teke Manion mysteries. Recently he has ventured into children’s fiction with Poodle Patrol for beginning readers and Legend of The Tigris for readers ten to twelve. Rod has been writing for over 20 years and currently resides with his wife and dog in Orlando, FL. In his spare time, he enjoys travel, reading, gardening, and trying his hand at every dish he sees on the Food Network.
