I fell in love with science fiction as youngster. Reading about strange people doing strange things on strange worlds fascinated me and made me curious about my own world. Starting with Robert Heinlein's Starship Troopers, I was captivated by the sweeping tales by masters like Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov and Philip K. Dick. Then I sought my own adventures as a Marine, firefighter/paramedic and a weapons-of-mass-destruction consultant to the military and civilian governments. I now write full time and bring my own experiences to my novels. I write about wars because they have shaped human destiny since the beginning, and our determination to survive as well. There have always been men and women willing to sacrifice their lives to protect others, and there always will be, here and anywhere in the galaxy. I try to tell their stories. Retired from adventuring, I now live in Florida with my wife.
