Roberta Sassatelli has taught at the University of East Anglia, Norwich (UK), at the University of Bologna (Italy) and is currently Associate Professor in Cultural Sociology at the University of Milan (Italy). She teaches Cultural and Social Theory, Sociology of Consumer Cultures, Gender Studies, and Visual Methodologies. Besides the sociology, politics and history of consumption, her main research areas are gender, sex and embodiment, leisure and sport, cultural and social theory, theories of value, commercialization and market variety, the sociology of emotions, ethnography and visual methodologies.
