I am Robert. I live in a small home in New Jersey, sharing it with a young Colombian family, a young Honduran family, three dogs, two guinea pigs, a cat, and a rabbit. The rabbit is often mean to me. I earned a degree in Humanities from Montclair State University, but I was so distracted in my younger days by my sexual issues and loneliness that I did not pay much attention or learn a lot. In addition to writing, I enjoy dog parks, playing Scrabble on my iPad, listening to music by Bryann Trejo and Kathy Troccoli, as well as cozy dinners at local dives with my old friend “T.” But my greatest passion is to hit the streets of Paterson, New Jersey with my teammates, Pastor Vince, Daniel, and Thomas, to bring God's love and grace to the homeless, addicted, and forgotten. Pastor Vince once told me, "Robert, it does not matter what someone looks like, smells like, or is currently doing. As followers of Jesus Christ, we must go to that person, knowing that God loves them and wants to do something for them right now through you and me." I carry this truth with me wherever I go.
