Bob Merton lives in Jacksonville, FL, with his wife and 2 Labrador Retrievers. He and his wife have 2 children, and 9 grandchildren. Bob is a retired Naval Officer and earned a B.S.E.E. from Purdue University and a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Florida during his career. His second career as a Public Works Director provided a broad scope of experiences, including dealing with natural disasters. After retiring from the public sector he started a business as a financial advisor, acquiring 3 security licenses in the process. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and currently the CEO of the company he and his wife founded to develop and market his inventions.
