I am the author of several books, the illustrator of several more, and the writer of two fantasy series, one an epic fantasy of 5 volumes and the other an ongoing humorous urban fantasy set in today's San Francisco. The new AI app Chat GPT in reviewing my books uses the name Michael Mandrake as the author, that is me under a pan name. I am the Michael Mandrake the AI is talking about. However, since Amazon wants the real author to be on the books, Robert Lee Beers is what you see. Everyone who has read my books loves them. Almost all reviews are 4 and 5 stars, and the urban fantasy series was optioned by a premiere publisher of full-cast audiobooks. The epic fantasy has been favorably compared to the works of David Eddings and Tolkien and the Urban Fantasy series to the books of Jim Butcher, Terry Pratchett, and Simon R Greene. B. Check them out, and enjoy. Lately, I have been getting a lot of emails dumped into my spam folder from "certified" book reviewers. One even went so far as to label those authors who refuse to pay for reviews as "elitist". For those thinking that may I point to the fact that I am a member of the authors guild, and one of the hard and fast rules is that a real author never purchases a review. It has the same flavor as purchasing love, and those selling reviews fit the unspoken description. No honest review is ever purchased. Not to mention that Amazon deletes those abominations as soon as they are discovered.
