Robert Kerins retired after more than twenty years of service as a police officer and lieutenant, investigating every crime from Arson to Witness Tampering. Following his law-enforcement career, he spent fifteen years in disaster relief, traveling across the United States and its territories—including Puerto Rico, Guam, and Saipan—before retiring from federal service in 2008. He is the author of several previously published crime-suspense thrillers, known for their gritty realism, sharp procedural detail, and character-driven intensity. Drawing on decades of real-world investigative and travel experience, his novels immerse readers in people from many walks of life, and the moral complexities and high stakes of frontline police work. Robert also leads writers’ groups in Lewiston and Buffalo, New York, where he mentors emerging authors and fosters a supportive, craft-focused writing community. He now devotes his time to writing full-time and lives in Lewiston, NY, with his wife, Pamela.
