Rickey Ward is a storyteller and poet who writes across genres, from folklore-inspired horror to heartfelt collections about family and memory. A sixth-grade social studies teacher by day and a writer by night, he brings Oklahoma landscapes and mythic echoes into much of his work. His books explore the fragile ties that hold people together and the strange forces that pull them apart. When he isn’t writing, Rickey spends time with his daughter, sharing stories that often spark the beginnings of his books.
