Richard Simcott was born in The United Kingdom. He was named one of the UK's most multilingual people by Harper-Collins and became Goethe Institute's "Ambassador for Multilingualism". Richard is a graduate in Combined Languages (French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese) in the UK and former member of the British Diplomatic Service, having served in the UK and at British Embassies abroad. He has appeared in a number of world media outlets for his work in the language community and skills as a polyglot. He started the Polyglot Conference in 2013 in Budapest and has taken the event to Novi Sad (2014), New York City (2015), Thessaloniki (2016), Reykjavik (2017), Ljubljana (2018) and Fukuoka (2019) bringing together people interested in languages and experts in a wide range of fields. He speaks French at home with his daughter and she is his inspiration for the release of "French Short Stories for Beginners". He also speaks Spanish, German and Macedonian at home with his family and uses around 25 languages regularly throughout the year for work and travel. Currently he works as Language Director at The Social Element and Polpeo. Richard is currently working on new book projects. Release dates to follow later this year.
