Rich Van Pelt is the National Director of Ministry Relationships for Compassion International - an international Christian child development organization working with over a million three hundred thousand desperately needy children and their families in Central/South America, Africa and Asia. He's an ordained Pastor in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, author, The Youth Worker's Guide To Helping Teenagers In Crisis,(Zondervan) and The Parent's Guide To Helping Teenagers In Crisis (Zondervan,and a convention and seminar speaker. Each year Rich is involved in challenging and motivating thousands of educators, professional counselors, youth workers and parents across North America at national, regional and local events. Rich is President of Youth Ministry Without Borders - a not-for-profit organization committed to training and resourcing youth workers and parents of adolescents in developing nations. He's an associate staff member of the Center for Parent Youth Understanding, a a speaker for Understanding Your Teenager Parenting Seminars presented by HomeWord and he serves on the advisory board of The Journal of Student Ministries, LiderJuvenil (Latin Youth Worker Journal,Member, the Center for Student Leadership, Rye, NH, and Noah's Ark Adventure Company, Buena Vista, CO He's a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the National Network of Youth Ministry
