Rhiya Pau is a British-born poet of Indian heritage from a community with a rich history of migration. For over a century, her ancestors have died someplace other than the places they were born. Her debut poetry collection, Routes, won a 2022 Eric Gregory Award from the Society of Authors, with her poem Salutation, highly commended for the 2023 Forward Prize. She was the winner of the 2021 Creative Future Writers’ Award for poetry and has had work published in Wasafiri, The Liminal Transit Review, and Token magazine among other places.
