Hi…it’s me, Rene. I didn’t know I wanted to be a salesperson when I was growing up, but when I took a job selling door to door at age 20 I had a blast, and I was pretty darn good at it. My sales career was launched. I moved up from entry sales to food service with ARA, office equipment with Lanier and finally the cellular industry. After working in the early years of cellular in Silicon Valley and selling to tech companies, I moved to the Pacific Northwest to open a Cellular One market in Klamath Falls OR. This position started my management career. I was very fortunate to have a great boss and friend. Donnie showed me how to lead others by expecting a lot out of people, while caring for the people even more, After seven years of learning with Donnie I started my consulting career training managers to practice High-Performance Leadership. Five years of training managers and helping small businesses with strategic planning, finished off my career preparation to start Sales Manager Now in 2006. I found my way back to my passion of leading sales teams and the model of shared sales management began. You can watch the video If you care to hear more details.
