Dr. Raven Bowen is the former CEO and current Head of Research at National Ugly Mugs a UK-wide violence prevention charity. She partners with her daughter, Natasha Bowen, to develop eLearning and other multimedia products for small charities and microbusinesses through their company K&C Digital. For fun, Raven and Natasha create puzzle books to encourage spending time offline and AFK (away from keyboard) as part of a healthier work/life balance. Publications from this author will include puzzle books, nonfiction and academic publications to reflect her eclectic interests. Other information: Raven holds a BA and an MA in Criminology from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC Canada, and a PhD in Sociology from the University of York in the UK. Her first academic book entitled ‘Work, Money and Duality: Trading Sex as a Side Hustle’ is the winner of the British Society of Criminology’s book prize for 2022.
