When it comes to building inclusive cultures, the work of leaders is both professional and personal. We sometimes struggle to separate our own feelings, experiences, history and biases from our intention to create a world where everyone can thrive. That's why we felt that "Building a Culture of Inclusivity: Effective Internal Communication for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion" was needed to help organizations make progress. Priya believes that internal communication is an integral enabler of success. It turns words to action, values into behaviours, strategy into results and brand promises into employee and customer experiences. It is the glue that connects the dots and delivers outcomes. With almost 30 years, dedicated to internal communication, Priya supports organizations going to through transformational change and has worked with business, government, NGOs, and unions to engage employees and limit disruption. She is won national and international awards, and been recognized for life-time achievement and contributions to the profession in Canada and globally by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). Priya is president of Inner Strength Communication based in Toronto, Canada and co-founder of A Leader Like Me with co-author Advita Patel. She is an accredited business communicator (ABC), Certified Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP), A Master Communication (MC) and one of fewer than 100 IABC Fellows recognized in the past 50 years.
