Pete Buffington is a major airline pilot for a legacy U.S. airline. Holding an ATP certificate and having logged 7,000 hours flying time, he flies Boeing 737s based at Chicago O'Hare airport. Squawk 7700, originally published in 2001, was a top ten aviation best-seller on Amazon.com from 2009 to 2019 after receiving an endorsement from U.S. Airways Flight 1549 first officer, Jeffery Skiles, Sully Sullenberger's copilot. Pete was a feature author at EAA's AirVenture Author's Corner for seven years in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Pete has also has an extensive background in software engineering and has published books on the eBook publishing process.
