Hi there! I'm Paul. I live in Westport, Connecticut with my wife Marina, a licensed Marriage and Family therapist. I believe that the world is complex and can be understood and my books are meant to help with that. Raising a Thief is a non-fiction book about being a parent. Master, Minion is a thriller about financial warfare, complex relationships and escape from difficult circumstances. I worked for 20+ years on Wall Street, most of that time with Bridgewater Associates, an investment management firm. I also worked as a reporter. You may have seen my writing in The Wall Street Journal, The South China Morning Post or Bloomberg. I have a Substack called Things I Didn't Learn in School. I was educated at Brown University, The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University and at The Maurice Thorez School of Foreign Languages in Moscow.
