Paul Millerd is the author of The Pathless Path and Good Work. His writing explores ambition, meaning, and the changing role of work in our lives.

Before becoming an independent writer, Paul spent nearly ten years in strategy consulting, including time at McKinsey & Company and Boston Consulting Group. In 2017, he stepped away from what he calls the “default path” without a plan and began experimenting with self-employment. Along the way, he fell in love with writing. Years spent chronicling his journey and talking with hundreds of people about their own unconventional paths became the foundation for The Pathless Path, which has sold more than 80,000 copies and reached readers around the world.

Paul now writes, podcasts, and occasionally consults while living in Asia with his wife and two daughters. He writes for people questioning conventional definitions of success and searching for more honest ways to think about work, ambition, and a life well lived.
