Paul Hawken has written nine books published in some 50 countries in 32 languages, including five national and NYT bestsellers--The Next Economy, Growing a Business, The Ecology of Commerce, Blessed Unrest, Drawdown, and Regeneration.. He founded several companies, including Erewhon, the first food company in the US that relied solely on sustainable agricultural methods. He has served on the board of environmental organizations, including Point Foundation—publisher of the Whole Earth Catalog, Center for Plant Conservation, Trust for Public Land, Conservation International, and National Audubon Society. He lives with his wife, flocks of nuthatches, red-tail hawks, and coyotes in the Cascade Canyon watershed in Northern California.
