My seventh book, ALENYA THE NECTAR COLLECTOR, will be published in October 2025 from 12 Willows Press, a Maine environmental publisher. Two bees, far from their hive, face one danger after another. To get home, they must demonstrate courage, cunning and cooperation, traits that colony life has instilled in them. I live in a beautiful area of the Rocky Mountains where wild rivers and wildlife abound. I live in a 120-year-old farmhouse. My bees forage in raspberry bushes, native plants, and plum, pear, and apple trees. Bees everywhere are in crisis. Loss of habitat, deadly chemicals, and lack of variety in their diet cause a high death toll. Everyone acknowledges bees play a vital role on our planet. I am fortunate that I get to write about topics important to me. Five of my books have been about animals.
