Dr. Patrick Briney is an author, speaker, scientist, minister, and teacher of practical Christianity worldwide. Dr. Briney draws on his professional training in science as a microbiologist, his conversion from atheism, and his forty years of ministry experience as a missionary/pastor to provide students with practical and relevant Biblical teaching. He has led unique workshops and Bible studies for thousands globally on topics ranging from Biblical apologetics, eschatology, creation science, Christian leadership, Biblical doctrines, ministry development, and discipleship. Dr. Briney currently serves as the Senior Associate Pastor at Mission Boulevard Baptist Church (MBBC) in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He is a missionary to the University of Arkansas where he directs the Collegiate Discipleship Ministry and where he earned his Ph.D. in microbiology. He leads the Leadership Training Institute of America as its President and founder with the purpose of training students in Biblical apologetics and Christian worldview leadership. He also founded Life Changing Scriptures to provide training resources to Bible students. In addition, Dr. Briney volunteers as a teacher and chair of the science department at Fayetteville Christian School. At MBBC, Dr. Briney has gained practical experience during his forty years of church ministry, discipleship, and personal counseling. He has served as the outreach director, conducted evangelism campaigns into the community and on college campuses, organized and conducted numerous discipleship conferences, produced and hosted radio and television programs for Christian training, and as a graduate student founded the Creation Science Society for students and faculty at the University of Arkansas. Dr. Briney teaches with real-world practical experiences in his never-ending search for truth and insights into God and His Word. For example, Dr. Briney asked God to teach him about the prayers that move mountains spoken of by Jesus in Mark 11:22-23. God gave him a mountain. Through the experience of stage 4B Hodgkin's Lymphoma and its reoccurrence five years later, God granted Dr. Briney's request to understand prayer. That was over thirty years ago. Dr. Briney does not teach theory about prayer. He shares his experiences and practical lessons. You can learn more about prayer in Dr. Briney's two books "HOPE: Lessons from a Cancer Survivor's Journey with God" and "PRAY: How God Answers Every Prayer." Dr. Briney received his Ph.D. in microbiology at the University of Arkansas. He specialized in immunology and infectious diseases doing research in vaccine development and virulence investigation for "Campylobacter jejuni." Pat and his wife, Colleen, live in Fayetteville, Arkansas. They have two married daughters and two wonderful grandsons.
