Pamela Jones was born into a polygamous Mormon cult in Mexico. As an eldest daughter, she left school aged eleven to care for her twelve siblings in a remote desert compound without electricity or running water. But poverty, hunger, and isolation couldn’t break her spirit as she vowed someday to be free. Pamela married at fifteen, the first of six sister-wives to a husband even more domineering than her abusive father. By 2000, Pamela, now thirty-four and a mother of nine, escaped with her children to the United States. Lacking money, education, and resources, Pamela began cleaning houses with her infant daughter strapped to her back, later founding her own cleaning company, the highly successful Exclusive Services by MyGirls. Pamela lives outside Minneapolis with her sweetheart, Rick, close to her children and grandchildren. She cohosts “Wicked Confessions Uncensored” a podcast exposing the hidden world of polygamous cults.
