Ms. Pamela De Fina was born in New York, and grew up in Palm Beach, Fl. There she studied ballet and jazz at Imperial Studios under JoAnna Kneeland, and performed in many productions at the Royal Poinciana Playhouse with famous ballerinas. At 16 she received an invitation scholarship to study at the Harkness House of Ballet in NYC, and instead ,she chose a life of education, recieving a BA El. Ed. and Art History. In 1975-76 attended the Graduate School of Fine arts/Rosary college in Florence, Italy, MA Art History program, and researched at the Bernard Berensons Villa I tatti in Renaissance Art. In 1979 she returned to live in NYC until 1997, taking ballet at the Harkness House of Dance., and working in Art Galleries, and founding an art business." Fine Arts and Antiques. She met Maria Theresa Duncan in 1979, and asked the Directors of the Harkness House to celebrate her 84th Birthday there. She was chosen by Maria Theresa ,and first performed at the United Nations as her Special protogee. as a member of the Maria Theresa Heritage Group. She studied with Maria Theresa privately for 10 years, and learned unique choreography.She has performed, taught and lectured in the US and Europe, at the Sorbonne Univ., Int. Conference de Dance in 1984. The House of the Redeemer, NYC., Lannan Museum, Norton Museum. Society of the Four Arts, Palm Beach, Fl. , Lectured at the George Washington Univ. 2019, The Pen Ladies Int. at the Palm Beach Yacht Club,"She is a member of cid-Unesco/an official partner of the United Nations, and has recently presented her video and research with the Ancient. Orchesis group, of research scholars, on Athropological Studies of the Dance of Isadora Duncan in Athens Greece. She published " Maria Theresa Divine Being Guided by Higher Order" in 2003. Pamela De Fina is mentioned in the book " Making Music for Modernno. Dance edited by Catherine Teck on pg 309 in relation to the film taken of her of the Beethoven Symphony 7, Alegretto, at the Trianon Palace in Versailles in 2001., and can be seen at the Jerome Robins Library, Lincoln Center, NYC.
