Orianne Aymard (Ph.D.) is a multifaceted individual who has led a life enriched by diverse experiences. Her career spans roles as a diplomat, humanitarian delegate, researcher, university lecturer, consultant, coach, keynote speaker and writer. Throughout her journey, Orianne has traveled the globe. Her work with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) primarily took her on missions in Africa and Haiti following the devastating 2010 earthquake. Orianne's professional path also included several years at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she focused on crucial issues such as religion, violent extremism, and human rights. Orianne holds a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from the University of Quebec in Montreal and a Master’s in Social Policy from the London School of Economics (LSE). Her quest for knowledge brought her to Columbia University in New York, where she was a visiting scholar, as well as to the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative (HHI), where she was a research associate. Orianne is also an accomplished author, having published "When a Goddess Dies" with Oxford University Press, New York. Her second book, "Sous l’œil de la Déesse" (Under the Eye of the Goddess) with Éditions du Mont-Blanc (Catherine Destivelle), narrates her ascent of Lhotse (8,516 m), the fourth highest mountain in the world. Orianne has also ventured into children's literature with the publication of "Avec mon bâton" (With My Stick), by Éditions Un Dimanche Après-Midi. Orianne successfully reached the summit of Everest in May 2023, a journey she recounts in her new book "Au cœur de l’Everest" (To the Heart of Everest), published by Mareuil editions, in Paris. Her Everest adventure is also the subject of a documentary film titled "Everest, la Déesse Mère" (Everest, the Mother Goddess), co-produced by TV8 Mont-Blanc, Injam Production, and Capitello Group. Now based in Chamonix, Orianne shares her experience as a speaker. She speaks at various companies and management schools on topics such as resilience, leadership, crisis management, and self-surpassing. Additionally, she is a member of The Explorers Club.
