Nat Harrison was born on the tiny volcanic island of Ascension, in the middle of the South Atlantic Ocean. She grew up in England and Hong Kong and has explored every continent expect Antarctica (one day, she hopes). She is based in the UK, but can usually be found exploring with her husband, and her best dog Shadow, who loves a good story. In the past, Nat has worked as a sweet seller, burger flipper, bingo caller, and ice cream whipper. She's also worked for some of the most well-known technology brands, living in Europe, Asia and the US. The one constant across continents is Nat's love of reading and writing (and living!) adventure stories. Nat's debut novel, The Girl Who Raced the World, is shortlisted for Stanfords Children's Book of the Year 2026, long listed for the Branford Boase Award 2026 and is an Amazon Editor's Pick for Children's and YA books. The second book in the series, The Girl Who Raced the World: Journey Into the Jungle, publishes in hardback in October 2026 and stand alone novel The Hunt for Treasure Island will be released in 2027.
