I've been fascinated with un-natural beasts ever since I first saw Ray Harryhausens work with creatures of legend in the great Sinbad and Jason films. These inspired a lifelong love of films and cine-art that persists today. Alongside these interests, or because of them, I became fascinated with 'real' creatures of myth and fable, often associated with marvelous, ancient, places that we are fortunate enough to have as our rich heritage. Both of my books are concerned with this. The non-fiction 'An Illustrated Bestiary of the British Isles' draws directly on the spoken word tradition tales regarding these beasts of folklore. My folk horror fiction story Hunters' Moon' draws upon the both the Werewolf tradition and the beast of Bodmin Moor legend of Cornwall as a basis for an action-packed adventure, in a blend of 70's and 80's film horror. My interest are Cinema, Folklore, painting and drawing, country walks and secret locations. I'm not afraid of the dark...only what is conceals.
