Training as a storyteller began for Mike Pickett before he could speak. He has absorbed yarns and tales from grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents, siblings, and friends his entire life. He was a popular newspaper columnist at Augsburg College in Minnesota, and lives with his wife of 30+ years in Saint Paul. He is a high school sports public address announcer at Cretin-Derham Hall high school, and possesses a fee-based, regional Emmy Award. Mike is confident the Catholic Church named a Pope after his dog, Francis (his holedigness).
