I am Mike Howard, former Chief Security Officer (CSO) at Microsoft for 16 years, with previous careers at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) for 22 years and in my youth, a few years with the Oakland, California Police Department. In the CIA, I worked primarily in the field of counterterrorism running operations around the world to fight terrorists. I served in Africa, Asia, some Middle East work and a little time in Latin America. I left after 22 years attaining the level of Chief of Station. ​ My wife and I are retired and currently live in the Las Vegas area. We are involved in supporting at risk youth in Las Vegas and I am am on the Board of Directors of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Foundation, where i just completed a two year term as President. We have two adorable chihuahuas- Kiku and Momo. ​ I have now published six books including two leadership books, "The Art of Ronin Leadership." and "The Art of Executing Ronin Leadership Strategies." I have four books in my Jack Trench Thriller Series: “Full Circle,” “Blood Promise,” "Omega Deception," and my latest, “Yakuza Dawn.” ​ I have committed myself to lifelong learning so that I can continue to hone my leadership and writing skills.
