Michelle Windsor is a poet, full-time parent, and the author of Slow and Steady. She has a background in Early Childhood Education, and has been writing poetry and short stories as a hobby since her elementary years. Originally from the Philippines, she grew up in Iloilo, Philippines in a small town of Barotac Nuevo. She came to San Francisco, California when she was 16, just after she graduated from high school. She met her husband in San Francisco. They got married and lived in Davis, California. Looking for an adventure, they moved to Raleigh, North Carolina and made a home there. Presently, they are living in Hawaii. It reminds her of childhood in the Philippines, especially seeing the coconut trees and papaya plant in their backyard. When not in writing, Michelle can be found with her family at the beach, occasional staycation here in Hawaii, and at Coffee or Tea, having some boba drinks with her kids. She also enjoys her daily walk at the park nearby. She and her husband have four kids. They also have a cat and a dog.
