Michele is an award-winning children's book author from New Jersey. Her published titles include COOKIE & MILK (2019 Cardinal Rule Press- 1st Place Dragonfly Award Winner), THE GORILLA PICKED ME! (2018 The Little Press), MY SUPERHERO GRANDPA (2016 The Little Press- Moonbeam Award Winner) and BUCKINGHAM GETS A NEW SHELL (2021 Pigman Books). A personal piece Michele authored entitled WRITING FOR CHILDREN FROM TRAGEDY was published by The Children's Writer's Guild (CWG) in September 2017 (http://www.childrenswritersguild.com/writing-for-children-from-tragedy/). Michele is an active member of SCBWI (NJ & NY) and the Author's Guild. Michele grew up in a small town in northern New Jersey until she moved to New York City where she attended college and law school. Michele enjoyed the crazy, busy, single life of New York for over 15 years until she married and had her first child. With a small one-bedroom apartment and a baby that did not sleep, Michele moved back to her small hometown. She settled back to her roots and traded in the noisy city streets of NY and extra dirty martinis at trendy bars for manicured lawns and backyard BBQs. Michele avoids being a grown-up by writing stories for children.
