Michael R. Holley was born in Panama City, Florida. He is the son, grandson, and nephew of boat captains. He rose from deckhand to captain by age nineteen. At the age of twenty-one, a chance advertisement for a car salesman altered the course of his life. At the age of thirty-seven, he owned his own Chevrolet dealership. Eventually adding two more dealerships, only to see it all disappear in 2008/2009. Losing everything material including his freedom has not defined his life. He thanks God for the lessons learned and the guardian angels he has met along the way. Michael is currently living in Cedar Key Florida, working as a business consultant, and co-owns Cedar Key Pizza and Subs with his wife Carrie. Michael speaks to civic organizations, conventions, associations, congregations, and business groups. Helping others see business and life from a new perspective. Michael has published two books; his third book, "A Young Man and the Sea" due to publish summer/fall 2024. His first novel, "The Captain" to be published in 2025.
