Michael Hemsworth is a music teacher, business founder, and proud dad of three who’s spent the last two decades helping kids (and their grown-ups) discover the joy of making music. Married for 22 years and based in Sacramento, California, Michael is the founder of NewSongs Music School, serving families in Elk Grove and Sacramento with creative, heart-centered music lessons. Known as “Mr. Michael” to his students, he spends as much time as possible in the classroom, and also brings interactive concerts and presentations to local schools and libraries. He wrote his first book, "Mr. Michael’s Music Maker Manual", with the parents of more than 1000 students currently enrolled at his school in mind, Whether he's behind a piano or behind a pen, Michael’s goal is the same: to make music and creativity feel welcoming, doable, and deeply rewarding for families.
