MICHAEL D. COHEN, PH.D. is CEO of Cohen Research Group a leading political, public affairs, and corporate research firm. He publishes the pioneering and award-winning Congress in Your Pocket suite of mobile apps and teaches college courses in political campaigns and digital strategy at Johns Hopkins University and New York University in Washington, DC. He is the author of Modern Political Campaigns: How Professionalism, Technology, and Speed Have Revolutionized Elections, published by Rowman & Littlefield in 2021; the second edition will be published by Bloomsbury in April 2025 and features a new chapter on the use of artificial intelligence in political campaigns. He is a three-time graduate of the University of Florida and he resides in Northern Virginia with his wife. They have two adult children.
