Merethe Walther is an award-winning author and short-story writer who has been fascinated with science fiction, fantasy, horror, dystopian tales, and anything to do with the supernatural since she was a child. She became obsessed with reading and creating stories at a young age. After graduating second in her class with a BFA in creative writing, she soon after completed her debut novel, Mercury in Retrograde.
 Merethe is an avid fan of video games and believes bones and bugs are the best household decorations. She blames her bizarre sense of humor on spending too many hours reading alone and has accepted that no one will ever be able to pronounce her name properly.
 When not writing for fun, Merethe writes for work as a professional content creator and copy editor.
