Matt Peeples was born in Maryland and grew up in Katy, TX and Blue Springs, MO (outside KC). Matt graduated with a Bachelors in Communication from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO in 2004 and went on to graduate Concordia Seminary St. Louis, MO in 2009 with a Masters in Divinity. He was ordained as a Lutheran Pastor in 2009 at his home church, Timothy in Kansas City, MO. After church plant training in Hot Springs, AR, Matt moved to Knoxville, TN to plant The Point Church. The Point's mission is to connect the disconnected to a growing and multiplying relationship with Jesus Christ. Matt, led by the Holy Spirit and serving alongside other passionate everyday missionaries pioneered innovative ministry strategies. The Point advertised on the hard rock radio station, hosted Bar Church on Wednesday nights, and used community events like local beer festivals and tattoo conventions as outreach events to connect the disconnected. As a result, the average first-time visitor to The Point had not attended church in 10-20 years, if they had ever attended at all. This experience was formational in how Matt and thinks about church planting and raising up every day Christians to see themselves as everyday missionaries in the places they live, work, learn, and play.

In 2016, Matt was called to Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ridgewood, NJ, where he launched the Kairos Network in 2017 to develop and train church planters, pastors, and lay leaders to reach the disconnected for Christ in one of the most post-Christian areas of the country. In June of 2022 Matt felt the call to make the Kairos Network his full focus. Mostly recently, in March 2025, Matt was installed as the Lead Pastor-elect to Faith Oakville Lutheran Church in South County Saint Louis, MO. Matt continues as Director of the Kairos Networks, leads Missionary Pathway cohorts, and serves as Lead Pastor Elect.

He lives in St. Louis with his wife, Liza and their three boys - Brooks, Samuel and Reece.
