I study how we use language--how we learn it, comprehend it, and produce it. All of this knowledge came together when I recorded the audiobook for my book More Than Words. Reading aloud with good intonation and not making constant mistakes is completely exhausting! I've been a professor at a lot of places--Northeastern, MIT, USC, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Now I write books and articles, and when I'm not doing that, I like to read, walk, ride my bike, travel, cook. I live in Madison, Wisconsin.
