Mary Snyder is a passionate thriller author who transports her readers on nail-biting adventures through the upper echelons of power. Although she’s a retired nurse, Mary fell in love with literature at a young age—particularly murder mysteries and espionage thrillers. She often spent her free time writing while juggling her day job. Now, the author of her debut novel, First Assignment, Mary combines her deep love of the genre with poignant real-world political reflections to paint a gripping narrative that strikes eerily close to home. She was motivated to finish her novel following the occurrences of January 6, 2020, and her fears about U.S. politics and the direction her beloved country is heading. Mary currently resides in rural Wisconsin with her husband. When she’s not brainstorming her next story idea, you can find her indulging in her love of oil painting, watching baseball, connecting with her two adult daughters, or spending time with her cats and dogs.
