MARTIN RUA Martin was born in Naples, where he took a degree in Political Science, writing a thesis on the history of religions. Fascinated by esotericism from an early age, one day he discovered a passion for writing and started composing poetry. After a journey to Prague and then Chartres he decided that poetry was no longer enough for him, so he created the character of his novels, a blend of adventure and esotericism. He began as a self-publishing author, selling thousands of copies of his first novel in a few weeks. ITALIAN Three novels have been published so far, The nine keys of the antiquarian (Italian and French, to be published in Spanish and English), The cathedral of the nine mirrors (Italian, to be published in French and Spanish) and The nine keepers of the sepulchre (Italian), plus two short tales (The brotherhood of the Holy Grail and The devil's mask). In 2015 Martin also published an essay on Naples' mysteries, Mysterious and esoteric Naples, and a brief esoteric guidebook of Sansevero Chapel in Naples, The stone ritual. English: In 2015 Newton Compton and the British publisher Head of Zeus signed an agreement to publish English versions of novels by Italian authors. The Alchemist's code (English title for The nine keys of the antiquarian) is one of the books chosen to be launched in English on May 2016 by Head of Zeus' new fiction list Aria. Le nove chiavi dell’antiquario è il primo romanzo della Parthenope Trilogy, per settimane in classifica tra i più venduti in Italia. Ad aprile 2014 è uscito La cattedrale dei nove specchi, secondo capitolo della trilogia. Dal 9 aprile 2015 è invece in tutte le librerie I nove custodi del sepolcro, ultimo capitolo della Parthenope Trilogy, che è stato preceduto sempre nel 2015 dal romanzo breve La fratellanza del Graal. Sono del 2015 anche il saggio Napoli esoterica e misteriosa, la breve guida alchemico-massonica della Cappella Sansevero Il rituale di pietra (aloe edizioni) e il racconto La maschera del diavolo, inserito nella raccolta Sette delitti sotto la neve. Il 16 giugno 2016 esce il primo capitolo di una nuova trilogia, Codice Nostradamus. I primi due volumi della Parthenope Trilogy sono stati acquistati dalla casa editrice francese City éditions, che ha pubblicato per ora Le nove chiavi dell’antiquario (Les neufs clés de l'antiquaire) e dalla spagnola Algaida per il mercato spagnolo e latino-americano. Nel 2015 Newton Compton ha siglato un accordo con la britannica Head of Zeus per pubblicare una serie di romanzi di autori italiani in inglese. Le nove chiavi dell'antiquario è tra i libri in uscita per il mercato anglosassone nell'estate del 2016 nella nuova collana Aria in versione eBook, print-on-demand e audiolibro con il titolo The Alchemist's code.
