Marlowe Reed writes about the quiet pressures of modern life: overthinking, digital overwhelm, career anxiety, and the search for steadiness in a world that never stops talking.

A retired high school English teacher, Reed spent her career in Wisconsin classrooms, where she developed a lifelong habit of watching how capable people carry invisible weight. After retiring, she began to recognize the same patterns in the adults around her, magnified by an era of constant connection, artificial intelligence, and relentless change, and set out to write the books she wished someone had handed her.

Most advice on these struggles was written for a slower world, one without a feed in every pocket and an algorithm reshaping every workplace. The Age of Everything Series begins in the world we actually live in. Each book takes on a single modern struggle: the racing mind, the endless scroll, career uncertainty in the AI era, the life that slipped out of its owner's hands. The books can be read in any order, and each is written in warm, plain prose meant to work on the page and out loud, with no programs, no jargon, and no judgment.

Reed lives outside Madison, Wisconsin, with her husband and their golden retriever, June. She still writes every morning at the same round oak kitchen table where the series began.
