Mark Michael Miller is a marketing and creative executive who helps nonprofits and purpose-driven organizations turn strategy into brand clarity, momentum, and sustainable growth. He currently serves as EVP at Masterworks, a marketing agency built for the nonprofit and social impact sector.

Mark is co-author of the Amazon bestseller Culture Built My Brand, written with Ted Vaughn, which won the 2022 Muse Design Award for Publication and Axiom Business Book gold medal for Advertising/Marketing/PR. Culture Built My Brand makes the case that internal company culture, not external messaging, is the true driver of brand success. The book distills lessons from nearly 100 rebrands Mark has led for purpose-driven organizations, offering leaders a practical, tool-based approach to aligning their people, mission, and brand from the inside out.

Before Masterworks, Mark co-founded Historic Agency (acquired by Masterworks in 2024), where he served as Chief Strategist and Managing Partner and led brand strategy and marketing transformation, helping social impact organizations build brands that matter through culture, marketing, and design. His work has spanned mission, vision, and values development, full brand rollouts, and organizational culture design for clients across the nonprofit space, including American Bible Society, CityTeam, World Vision, Arizona State University, and Liberty in North Korea.

Mark is also the creator of the Future Nonprofit podcast, a narrative style podcast focused on nonprofit leaders and the future of nonprofit strategy, brand, and culture. He also serves on the advisory boards of Virtuous CRM and The Design School at Arizona State University.

Today Mark serves as an Executive Vice President at Masterworks leading the teams supporting fundraising and marketing for clients like Prison Fellowship, American Bible Society, and The Salvation Army.
