Mark was born in London but now lives in a windswept Irish farmhouse. His first word, apparently, was 'car'. His road career, though, got off to a bad start, run-over three times - yep, three times - before his eighth birthday! Despite this early setback, Mark's adult life, to borrow from Kerouac, has been 'On the Road', with over a million road miles covered: everything from trucks through forests to motorcycles around Europe. Mark has now worked as a Driving Instructor for over 30 years and has around two thousand past (passed!) pupils to his name. His hobbies still include driving and motorcycling, along with movies, reading and walking in the beautiful Mountains of Mourne.
