I am a former Elementary School Teacher , Air Force and Air Force Reserve Disabled Veteran, Adjunct Professor, Day Care Teacher, Pastor, Migrant Head Start Teacher, Corrections Officer, and Non-Profit Executive. My favorite hobbies are writing children’s books, genealogy, and traveling. So far, I have been to over eleven different countries. In the past, I have been a tour leader with EF Tours student trips, and People to People Student Tours. Currently, I am a member of the Oklahoma Literacy Association, Oklahoma Writers Federation, Inc., Oklahoma Commissioner for the MacRae's, Korea Defense Veterans Association Member, American Legion Post 127 Vice Commander, and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) serving four terms as a Jr. Vice Commander. In addition, I recruit and help fundraise for Boys State delegates annually locally. I have written 12 children’s books published as well as four Audibles; seven Kindles;seven e-books; listed on over 22 worldwide countries on their websites; 22 other websites; five major retailers; and in three libraries (Metro Library in Oklahoma and two libraries in Florida- Okaloosa and Santa Rosa County). My first book, "Did You Come Home for Lunch?", was on display at the San Diego Festival of Books (2022), Archway Publishing Conference in Times Square New York (2023) with 200 other authors), and the Miami book Fair(2024). One of my books, "Nicoli Picoli!" was listed in the top 10 Best Sellers on March 24, 2024 in a Tulsa World News Article as reported by Magic City in Tulsa, OK, Best of Books in Edmond, Brace Books in Ponca City, and Full Circle Bookstore in Oklahoma City, OK. I have won five first place ribbons in three writing categories for the local contest for the Veterans Administration National Creative Arts Festival. This event is held at the Oklahoma City Veteran's Administration Hospital annually. I have participated in four Indie Read Aloud's on YouTube, been interviewed in 14 interviews in podcasts and other venues, read to over 1,000 students both virtually and in person, and participated on two author panels. I attend many different venues, festivals, craft shows, and other scheduled events. My Education includes an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice, Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and two years of Doctoral work in Education.
