Mark wrote his first twelve pages at the age of ten, complete with drawings of a prairie fire, Indians, and a stampede. More recently he’s authored books of epic fantasy and historical fiction for the Christian and the general market. But then Mark E. Fisher began Days of the Apocalypse, a five-book series of bestselling Christian end-times novels closely based on the books of Revelation, Matthew, Joel, Ezekiel, Daniel, and others. He's now working on Apocalypse Mission, a second series of Christian end-times thrillers. Mark was born in Pennsylvania, went to school in Troy, New York, lived in Illinois, and settled in Minnesota. He's worked at welding rails for the railroad, as a quality control inspector in an auto glass factory, at administering Public Aid in Illinois, and finally, at programming communications microcode for IBM business computers in Minnesota. He once helped plant a church and is currently the treasurer and board member of two 501(c)(3) organizations. The first is New Gospel Frontiers, which is dedicated to educating Christian pastors and church planters in Central Asia. The second is The Lord's Discipleship House, an organization whose goal is to create a half-way house for those recovering from drug- and alcohol-addiction. Mark has masters degrees in both computer science and ministry. He leads a small group for his church, and sometimes, he preaches. Mark owns a nine-year-old miniature Australian shepherd, who insists on three walks daily, plus plenty of time chasing toys. Mark and his wife like to travel, with trips to Japan, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Ireland, Italy, France, Portugal, and Switzerland. Sometimes, when traveling, story ideas seek him out. When not walking his dog, he's eating out, traveling, or at his desk writing.
