Dr. Maria Sokolina is a dentist focused on the relationship between sleep, breathing, and whole-body health. Trained first in the dental department of medical school in Russia and later at NYU, she brings a rare dual perspective shaped by both medicine and lived human stories.

Her journey into sleep medicine began fifteen years ago and led her to become board certified in Dental Sleep Medicine. A personal loss to untreated sleep apnea transformed her clinical observations into a mission to address a hidden medical crisis affecting health and relationships.

She hosts a growing online community through her Facebook group Sleep Apnea: Breathing, Snoring Help and her YouTube channel, where she interviews leading medical professionals, dental colleagues, researchers, and patients. Through these conversations, she shares an educational and supportive space for those seeking solutions to sleep and breathing disorders.

Dr. Maria Sokolina frequently appears on health podcasts and national speaking stages, educating both the public and healthcare professionals about sleep, breathing, and the hidden connections between oral and overall health.

An immigrant from Russia, her perspective is informed by extensive travel and cultural curiosity. She is the founder of Harmony Dental Arts. Her work has appeared in Forbes, AARP, and professional publications. She lives in New Jersey with her family and their Boston terrier, Saige.
