Malvina Lerma worked the California oilfields, both onshore and offshore, for over 40 years. Her oilfield mystery series includes anecdotes from her experiences working in a man's world. She has a BS and MS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Southern California, and taught the drilling engineering course there for seven years. She's taught numerous oil industry classes throughout the US. Her experience as a rig supervisor, engineer, engineering manager, consultant, and president of a small oil operating company provides a unique background for her murder mystery stories.
