Https://www.HowToAgeJoyfully.com ‘If we did all the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves' - one of over 170 quotes in 'How to Age Joyfully'. I was totally astounded to get my first book, written in my late 60s, published by Summersdale Publishers Ltd with wonderful Dame Judi Dench writing the Foreword! For more see https://HowToAgeJoyfully.com I continue to be astounded by the positive reaction to this little book - winning a Platinum Award, featured in a national newspaper, on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, in several magazines and making the Best Sellers Ageing list on Amazon and five star reviews. And it continues...Thanks to all who have helped to spread the word. The book is about how we can age better and make the most of our longer lives. This recent passion has been largely inspired by my personal story and Open Age, which does so much to enhance later life. I'm donating 50% of my royalties to this unique charity, where I am a member and Vice Chair. Another later life passion, which was life changing, was (very slowly) learning to dance, including Argentine tango and ballet. I've joined two dance companies and performed in some unlikely places in London, including Trafalgar Square, a hospital and a shopping centre! Discovering Twitter is yet another relatively new experience and I'm thrilled my Age Joyfully@AgeingBetter account has attracted almost 8000 followers who clearly want to hear about positive ageing. Last century, I qualified as a barrister, then worked for 37 years in the Civil Service, job-sharing for 23 years. I ended up a Chief Executive with a CBE. That, too, astounded me!
