M.Z. Daskal is an award-winning author whose work has appeared in “New Letters,” “New England Review,” “The Jabberwock Review,” and many other literary publications. The granddaughter of Holocaust survivors who married in the British detention camps in Cyprus, Daskal draws deeply from her family's history. Their resilience and the little-known plight of Jewish refugees imprisoned in Cyprus after World War II inspired her debut novel, which sheds light on this powerful and often overlooked chapter of history.
