Makayla is thrilled to welcome readers to her world of storytelling. She grew up in a charming town near Madison, Wisconsin, devouring fantasy romance novels like Twilight, City of Bones, and Vampire Academy. Her love for these magical realms sparked a passion for writing that has only grown stronger over the years.

She holds a degree in art and elementary education, which she thoroughly enjoyed, but storytelling has always been her true calling. When she’s not immersed in writing, Makayla can often be found curled up with a good book, spending time with family and friends, attempting to cultivate a garden (with varying degrees of success), or exploring new restaurants with her husband.

Makayla’s journey into writing began in high school with a creative writing class that was more enjoyable than she had anticipated. It wasn’t until college that she tackled her first story. Although she didn’t finish it at the time, the experience ignited a desire to write and refine her craft. Then she wrote and published her debut romantasy book Wings of Lies
