M. J. Lau is an educator and author from Central Pennsylvania. His first novel is The Buried Few, a near-future fiction novel that is equally influenced by dystopian classics, fatherhood, and Wired Magazine. He is also author of the gamelit series, The Virtual Realms, which he wrote with and for his son (and all the kids out there who tend to prefer video games over books). Lau also started a series with his daughter, "Stella Stories," of which The Borrowed Daughter is the first installment. As a long-time fantasy fan, Lau made his first foray into the genre with Unburnt, the initial book of The Firebrand Chronicles. He is currently working on its sequel, Undrowned.
