M. A. Maddock is an Irish author living in Scotland. She writes epic historical fantasy fiction novels set in Scotland, a place dear to her heart. In the meantime, Maddock is working on the fourth instalment (untitled) - "I'm interested, and excited, to see how the story will evolve and to discover what's in store for my long-suffering characters. I plan to conclude the story, which may come in two parts. However, that depends on my 'muse'. But big books do take time, and, like anyone else, we authors do have lives to lead which can sometimes be challenging, especially when trying to complete a book series. So, please be patient. Book Four is well underway! X"
When Miriam isn't writing, she loves to read and to get outdoors to explore nature's offerings by taking in the sights (each trip takes her somewhere new and exciting). "It's great for the little grey cells!" she tells us. But she owes much of her inspiration to her beloved Scotland where she is now settled near Balloch, where her story is predominantly based.
